   Hi Andy:
   Accidentally saw your post re: 1933. It was also a good year for me. Born 13/3/33, just completed my 76th year. Was interested to read about your skeleton reels. Have a whole bunch of them and have fished with some. I am starting to think that I should sell some of them since "there is too much junk sitting around" (my wife's comment). If you send me your email address I'll send you a picture of the lot.

I've got at least one example of all of the Meisselbach Featherlights both Raised Pillars and non raised. I also have a couple of nice Pfluegers with the Bulldog marking, as well as some other interesting skeletons. Its nice to hear from someone older than me.

   Greetings: I do hope your recovery is continuing well. I believe you are off to a good start with your reel collection. There must be millions of these skeletons around. I doubt if they will ever be in short supply, at lest in our lifetime. Over the last 3 or 4 years, since I became interested in them I have amassed quite a few of all kinds. It was great to see Lodge's book come out to help me have some idea of who made what. I guess my actual favorite is a little nickle reel made by US Net & Twine. It kinda looks like the star of David with the points cut off, or blunted. I have a 3wt or size G silk line on it and enjoy it on an old 9' Frost Senate rod from around 1920. I too am hopeing for increase in value, because I tell my wife I'm collecting this old stuff as an investment, so I can sell it later to held suppliment SS during our retire years. So I'm getting off of collecting bamboo and devoting some time and money on Pflueger, Meisselbachs, etc. Just missed a nice Yale the other day, hope there are more to be found. Took a peak at Lang's. There will be some interesting reels in the auction. In particular a Meisselbach 250 and a 290. Other than on line auctions, where do you look for reels? Have you looked Drury's? They must refinish their stuff; most look better than new.Number one on my list is a RP 260.

   Good Move on the Zephyr Andy. I was watching it but decided not to bid at last minute. I am watching to many things. I was glad to see your name come up.    I got into this skeleton reel collection because I thought there would be a lack of knowledgeable competition interested in such old inexpensive relics. Now I've got to contend with you! But its fun. I've only got nine to date, but I've just started since my surgery in July. My intention is to collect for the future value of these interesting little reels.
